Twice a year, Toronto does something unusual: it makes its restaurant scene dramatically more accessible.
Winterlicious and Summerlicious are the City of Toronto’s official prix-fixe dining programs, running for three weeks each in January/February and July respectively. Participating restaurants across the city offer fixed-price lunches and dinners at significantly reduced rates — typically $28, $38, or $48 for dinner, depending on the restaurant’s tier.
For the nightlife crowd, this matters. Winterlicious creates the conditions for evenings that might not otherwise happen. A reservation at a restaurant you’ve been curious about but haven’t justified becomes easy to make. The result is that the city goes out more — people are eating at more places, spending more evenings at the table, and extending those evenings into the surrounding nightlife.
For 2026, Winterlicious ran through late February. Summerlicious 2026 will likely run in July — exact dates are typically announced in spring. When the dates are confirmed, book immediately. The best tables go within hours of reservations opening.
Following both programs on the City of Toronto’s website (toronto.ca/licious) is the easiest way to stay informed.
