Nadège Patisserie has been a Queen Street West institution for years, known for its exquisite French pastries and a devoted following in the Trinity Bellwoods neighbourhood. In early February 2026, founder Nadège Nourian expanded the vision with Chez Nad by Nadège — a full-service French bistronomie restaurant tucked behind the patisserie at 780 Queen Street West.
Chef Laura Maxwell, with over 20 years in French kitchens across Toronto, leads the kitchen. The format combines pastry retail, a cafe bar, and full dinner service — with cocktails threading through the entire experience. It’s the kind of place where you can stop in for a glass of Burgundy and a croissant at 5 p.m., or settle in for a proper three-course dinner at 8.
For Queen West, this fills a specific gap. The street has excellent bars, interesting restaurants, and legendary late-night spots — but truly refined French dining in a neighbourhood format hasn’t had a consistent home until now. Chez Nad has made a strong early case for becoming one of the street’s defining restaurants.
Reservations launched in January and have been in demand since. Book ahead.
