Caribana 2026 — What You Need to Know About North America’s Largest Caribbean Carnival

Toronto Caribana — officially the Scotiabank Caribbean Carnival — enters its 59th year in 2026, and the scale of it continues to amaze. With over a million attendees each year, it’s consistently ranked as North America’s largest Caribbean Carnival, and the nightlife ecosystem that surrounds it is its own world.

The Grand Parade takes place on Saturday, August 1st, 2026. But the party starts days earlier and runs through the weekend with over 20 curated events across the city. Caribana weekend is effectively a Toronto nightlife takeover: REBEL becomes ground zero for some of the biggest parties of the year, Cabana Pool Bar hosts DayLit — an ultra-premium daytime pool event with past performers including Saweetie and Rick Ross — and venues across the Entertainment District program specialized nights around soca, dancehall, Afrobeats, and hip-hop.

Grand Bizarre Pool (inside the Horticulture Building at Exhibition Place) is emerging as one of the most spectacular settings for Caribana daytime events — 67,000 square feet with three infinity-edge pools, cabanas, a 60-foot crystal dome, and full bottle service.

For those coming from outside Toronto, hotel packages with bundled event tickets are available through caribanatoronto.com. Book early. This is one of the weekends where the city is genuinely operating at its full potential.
