La Cubana, the pioneering Ossington Avenue spot that introduced thousands of Torontonians to Cuban sandwiches, ropa vieja, and the joy of a properly made mojito, will close its last brick-and-mortar location on June 28.<\/p>\n<p>The restaurant&#8217;s history runs deeper than most. Siblings Pablo and Corinna Mozo operated on Ossington for nearly two decades \u2014 six years before La Cubana as Delux, and then 13 years under the Cuban banner that made them famous. La Cubana wasn&#8217;t just good food \u2014 it was a neighbourhood anchor, a place that reflected the warm, convivial spirit of its owners and helped define the Ossington dining experience during the street&#8217;s golden era.<\/p>\n<p>Corinna and Pablo shared a heartfelt message with their community, and the response has been equally warm.
